Of the Sasak Sade Village in Lombok, Indonesia, I’ve written plenty; but I captured some video to go with the experience. It’s easy to pooh-pooh the village’s authenticity as a community (given its spectacular but obviously curated show and souvenir shops), but all doubts fly out the window when you see a Sasak matron smearing cow poop all over her floor, as tradition dictates.
See the video embedded here for more of the experience, and here’s hoping you’ll put this on your bucket list next time you visit Indonesia!
